What is “truffle” how is it made?

Types of truffle

Black truffle is a very popular Spanish delicacy. It must be stored in the cold place so that it keeps its taste and smell. This type of truffles is also served with meat and poultry dishes or made on the grill. You can try this delicacy only in the best and the most expensive restaurants of Madrid (Santceloni, Baluarte, La Tasquita de Enfrente, etc.), as the truffles are the dessert for the elite!

Useful properties of truffle

Apart from excellent taste and smell, this product also has a lot of useful properties. Truffle contains a lot of protein, zinc and vitamins РР, В1 and В2 and considered a strong aphrodisiac. Truffles can be considered dietetic product due to its low calorie content and the fact that it is prepared with little oil, steamed or grilled.

Storage of truffle

As truffle has a limited shelf life, you should taste them fresh. They must be stored in the fridge, preferably in a glass jar or a tightly shut container (their shelf life is up to 4 days).
