Nightlife in Madrid

Today’s Madrid is a multinational city-millionaire, and not only in terms of population, but also in culture. Not without reason people call it “open air museum”: Catholic churches, cathedrals, temples, baroque buildings and infinite galleries.

Actually, this city is quite and perfect for leisure walks. The capital comes alive during the football contests, when the fans come from all over the country to watch the sport battles at the stadium.

The night atmosphere of Madrid can’t be called peaceful –young people hang out until the morning, and the noisy parties move from one bar/restaurant to the other. Such situation makes this city one of the main party cities in the Old World.

The tourists, coming to Madrid for the active night life, usually meet on the most bustling street- St Anne’s square (Plaza de Santa Ana), where you can find a lot of night spots. Many restaurants work from 20:00, while the night clubs receive the first guests at midnight. The public transport doesn’t leave the roads until 02:00.

Another favorite party-youth area is Malasaña. It comes alive closer to midnight, and falls asleep only in the early morning. The movement of tourists and residents of Madrid starts in the bars and night clubs and finishes in the same place– at the afterparty. You have a lot to choose from: the prices are democratic, and the atmosphere is vibrant. If you want to buy the quality drinks, go to the bar “1862 Dry” (and for the beer- visit “Fаbrica Maravilla”). We recommend you to start your nightly round with the metro station “Tribunal”.
