Spain attracts tourists at any time of the year. This country is perfect not only for the summer rest on the vast coasts of the islands. Spain allows you to have a good rest not only in the hot season, but also in summer. Although many believe that it never snows there, this applies only to the sea coasts of Spain, while the central highlands are usually covered with snow through the winter. Such natural conditions allowed creating the fascinating ski resorts. The great advantage of Spanish winter resort is that they’re located close to such large cities as Barcelona, Madrid, Granada, etc.

The beginners and vacationers with children like the resorts with the suitable slides (green and blue), the tracks are not very long and there are all conditions for the comfortable rest. If you’re a beginning skier, you should choose the following resorts:

Ski center “Astun” at the Aragonese Pyrenees.
One of the most modern ski resorts in Spain, offering its visitors 43 slides, many of which are suitable for both the beginners and the experienced skiers. The ski season lasts from November to March. The resort offers many entertainments: ski stadium, diving board, ski kindergarten, school, shops are cafes.
Baqueira Beret in Pyrenees.
This is one of the largest ski resorts in Spain, famous for the fact that the royal family comes here to rest in winter. The ski center is constantly developing, and now it offers its visitors 78 routes: 6 green slides for the beginners, 36 blue and 29 red routes for more experienced skiers, and 7 black routes for the fans of extreme. At the resort you can find a lot of entertainments for the children: ski school, kindergarten, sports center and indoor skating rink.

Ski resort La Molina in Catalan Pyrenees.
One of the oldest ski resorts, opened in 1909. Guests can enjoy 42 routes 50 km long, 23 of which are suitable for the beginners. The great advantage for vacationers with children is a ski school with 200 instructors, kindergarten and a great snow-park. There are tens of cafes and bars in the park.
La Pinilla on the slopes of Central Cordillera (located 112 km from Madrid).
The resort La Pinilla is very popular due to its location. The ski center offers 22 routes 20 km long. There are green, blue and red tracks, suitable for both the beginners and those who improve their skills. If you just start to master skiing, you can learn with the trainers. Some resorts are intended not for the beginners but for those who want to improve their skills. Here you can see the most popular of them:
Formigal in the Western Pyrenees. The guests of resort can enjoy 97 ski routes 130 km long. The most experienced skiers are offered 30 red and 39 black routes. The center disposes of equipment points, kindergarten, bars and restaurants, places for hunting, fishing and walking.
Masella (180 km from Barcelona). The routes of this resort are intended for the experienced and extreme skiers, as they are harder and more exciting than in other ski centers. Here you can find 48 routes 61 km long (35 red and 13 black ones). The guests of resort will find there everything necessary: ski kindergarten, equipment rental, different bars and restaurants.
